Bay Area Solidarity Summer (BASS) is a stayover political action camp for progressive South Asian youth who want to create social change!
The residential BASS summer camp teaches young people skills on how to be a social activist, as well as about issues affecting the South Asian community both locally and globally.
BASS is a project of the Alliance of South Asians Taking Action (ASATA), founded in 2000 to help educate, organize, and empower the next generation of young South Asian organizers.

ASATA is fiscally sponsored by Chinese for Affirmative Action, a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit civil rights organization. Contributions to ASATA via CAA are tax-deductible.
