You are invited to join us on
Friday, February 28th at 10am
at the newly-renovated Midway Shelter for a very special Dinner Donor Volunteer Appreciation event!
*Please register yourself by 2/20/25, using form below*
EVENT SUMMARY: The event's theme, "Food is Love Made Visible," reflects the spirit of volunteerism and the love you put into making meals for the women and children at the shelter. We will also celebrate the re-opening of Midway Shelter following a major construction renovation, made possible through generous funding from the City of Alameda and Alameda Homeless Network. During the event, you'll have an exclusive opportunity to tour the newly renovated shelter and meet us, your primary meal coordination contacts from the Building Futures team—Daisy, Joyce, and Ana. Over coffee and pastries, we look forward to reconnecting in person, personally thanking you for your dedication, and sharing exciting updates!
LOGISTICS: RSVP is required, please register for the event using the form below, by 2/20/25. This event is by invitation only (for current active dinner donors), so please be mindful if sharing the link. The event is an hour long and will wrap up by 11am. Please plan to carpool or be prepared to park on the street and walk a few blocks. The Midway Shelter is a confidential location. The exact address and parking details will be sent to registered guests via email 7 days prior to the event, with a reminder 2 days before.
ABOUT THE MIDWAY SHELTER: At Midway, Building Futures provides a 25-bed shelter, food, and support services to help women and children build better futures after homelessness. The Alameda Homeless Network (AHN) raises funds to keep Midway operating 24/7, year-round. Community support for Midway helps support new beginnings and life-changing services for women and children in Alameda. Visit Building Futures' website to explore more ways to participate and support Midway Shelter!
